UGC NET 2022 Notification: UGC NET is basically an Eligibility Test conducted by NTA, used for applying Assistant Professorships [AP], Junior Research Fellowships [JRF] or both, for Indian Universities and Colleges. The NTA conducts the UGC NET exam twice, once in June and once in December. But UGC NET 2022 is a Combined Cycle of December 2021 and June 2022.

UGC NET 2022 Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit:

Educational Qualification Age Limit
Assistant Professor A candidate must have a Master’s Degree from the University Grant Commission recognized university or institution in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications and Electronic Science with minimum 55% aggregate if the candidate belongs to General / Other Backward Class.

Note: In case the candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste or Schedule Tribes, he / she must have Master’s Degree with minimum 50% aggregate.

There is no upper age limit cap.
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) A candidate’s age must not be above 31 years.

Note: There is 05 years upper age relaxation for the Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer), Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and PwD category candidates.

If the candidate holds a L.L.M. degree either he / she belongs to reserved category or not, there is a 03 years upper age relaxation for the post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

The online application process for UGC NET Dec 2021 & June 2022 merged cycle has been started already after the release of the official Notification by UGC. The eligible applicants can submit their application form by clicking the direct link given below. As per the Official Notification No application will be accepted after the last date of submission. The application process has 04 (four) steps, candidate should fill the form carefully to avoid the cancellation of his/her candidature.

Some Tips:

– The authority will provide candidates a chance to correct their application. [21st May 2022 to 23rd May 2022]

– The size of photograph must be between 10KB to 100KB and signature size should be between 4KB to 30KB. [Image Resizer] 

– The dimension should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) for photograph and 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height) for signature.

– Do not send the printout of the confirmation page to the authority office.
